About this time two years ago I was working my way through Ignatian Prayer with Fr Timothy Gallagher, OMV on the Hallow app, and actually repeated it as I found it so lovely. Fr Gallagher has come up in another way recently and then this morning Fr Mike Schmitz preached on Nunc Coepi, Now I begin in a way that stirred my heart.
“If I should fall even a thousand times a day, a thousand times, with peaceful repentance, I will say immediately, Nunc Coepi [Now I begin]” Venerable Bruno Lanteri
Now I begin.
I’m having an oh my goodness this is hilarious as Fr Mike has preached for a second week on Nunc Coepi admitting his own recent sense of discouragement, which I take to heart as I’m prone to discouragement.
And I’m sharing:
Not quite sure what a season will look like or where it’ll go or how long anything like this will last. I’m simply going with it.
