Come to the Well

Friends,
Way back in the late 1970’s I started writing letters with a friend. This was, to me a new experience, and I’m sure my friend was wildly confused by some of my answers. I did think that my friend would remember all the things she wrote and the order in which she wrote them. When I wrote back I would offer one word answers to some of her questions, without reference to what she was asking. I’m giggling as I think about it. Letter writing became something more, and complete and conversational as I grew and learned this most delicious of communication forms.

Last winter I had a wee bit of fun featuring Brownwyn Envelope, documenting her adventures as she made her way to the recipient. I had hoped to include Brownwyn’s adventures in quilting. That may yet happen, though I do need to locate her or one of her many iterations. And it does fit in with Play, the 2024 Word of the Year. I do hope to get into my sewing room for a bit of play sometime, perhaps this morning before I head off to an appointment I have.

I’m off to Play people, let’s go have some fun.

Pray for me,

Teri
