You are good, You are good
When there’s nothing good in me
You are love, You are love
On display for all to see
You are light, You are light
When the darkness closes in
You are hope, You are hope
You have covered all my sin
You are peace, You are peace
When my fear is crippling
You are true, You are true
Even in my wandering
You are joy, You are joy
You’re the reason that I sing
You are life, You are life,
In You death has lost its sting
Oh, I’m running to Your arms,
I’m running to Your arms.
The riches of Your love
Will always be enough
Nothing compares to Your embrace
Light of the world forever reign
You are more, You are more
Than my words will ever say
You are Lord, You are Lord
All creation will proclaim
You are here, You are here
In Your presence I’m made whole
You are God, You are God
Of all else I’m letting go
Oh, I’m running to Your arms
I’m running to Your arms
The riches of Your love
Will always be enough
Nothing compares to Your embrace
Light of the world forever reign
My heart will sing
no other Name
Jesus, Jesus
Oh, I’m running to Your arms
I’m running to Your arms
The riches of Your love
Will always be enough
Majesty Hillsong
Here I am, humbled by your majesty,
Covered by your grace so free.
Here I am, knowing I’m a sinful man,
Covered by the blood of the lamb.
Now I’ve found the greatest love of all is mine,
Since You laid down Your life,
The greatest sacrifice.
Majesty
Majesty
Your grace has found me just as I am
Empty handed but alive in Your hands
Here I stand humbled by the love that You give,
Forgiven so that I can forgive.
So here I stand,
Knowing that I am Your design,
Sanctified by glory and fire.
And now I’ve found the greatest love of all is mine,
Since You laid down Your life,
The greatest sacrife.
Majesty
Majesty
Your grace has found me just as I am
Empty handed but alive in Your hands
Majesty
Majesty
Forever I am changed by Your love
In the presence of Your Majesty
Majesty, Majesty.
Your grace has found me just as I am,
Empty handed but alive in your hands.
Singing Majesty, Majesty.
Forever I am changed by Your love,
In the presence of Your Majesty.
Majesty.
Majesty, Majesty.
Your grace has found me just as I am,
Empty handed but alive in your hands.
Singing Majesty, Majesty.
Forever I am changed by Your love,
In the presence of Your Majesty.
Majesty.
I’ve mentioned on more than one occasion that I often wake up with a song running through my head. This particular morning it was two. Normally I can name that tune in one line. However, this was different. Lyrics from both songs were running one right on top of each other. It’s like when two little kids are so excited to tell you about their day that they just talk and talk and talk and you have to just listen and try to pick up the the important points from both kids.
Nothing compares to Your embrace
Light of the world forever reign
Majesty
were one right after the other over and over again. It took a bit of really listening to know that this was two songs and identify them as the melodies are so similar.
Listen – to hear what someone has said and understand that it is serious, important or true – from Merriam-Webster dictionary.
I’ve been mulling over this post since the morning after posting my 2015 Word of the Year. Even the morning this happened the words did not flow through my brain as easily as they usually do. I know there’s something here, I’m just not sure where these songs are going. Perhaps they are part of the beginning of this Journey. We’ll just see what happens over time.
In the meantime just enjoy them.
Happy Quilting!
